Christopher Nolan’s Inception Teaser Trailer

It’s here! The teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception debuted this weekend in front of Quentin Tarantino’s Nazi epic Inglourious Basterds . In true Nolan fashion, it’s a teaser in every sense of the word. Remember his infamous Dark Knight trailer from a few years ago? This one isn’t that bad, but boy does it get you thinking. Check out the video below.
From what I can tell Leonardo DiCaprio’s character seems to be under a lot of stress. I caught a glimpse of Joseph Gordon-Levitt literally bouncing off the walls, and Cillian Murphy being carried off of a helicopter ramp by a couple of suited men. What’s going on here? I think that’s the whole point. I will admit that I am intrigued. This looks like it will be a psychological thriller of a higher caliber.
We recently got a hold of the top secret call sheet for the film that revealed the character names for the majority of the actors involved.
Here’s what the breakdown said:
- Ellen Page – Ariadne
- Joseph Gordon-Levitt – Arthur
- Tom Hardy – Eames
- Ken Watanabe – Saito
- Cillian Murphy – Fischer
- Tom Berenger – Browning
Still open for debate is DiCaprio’s character who was simply listed as “Cobb.” We’re also left in the dark on Marion Cotillard’s name in the film. I guess they have to maintain some mystery, especially after the release of those behind the scenes set photos. We have to wait little less than a year for this thing to come out. Darn you Christopher Nolan, you’ve done it again! Inception is due in theaters on July 16, 2010.
What do you think about the first teaser trailer for Inception?
