In case you were too busy watching District 9 with EVERYONE else in America, here’s the latest movie news that took place over the weekend:

  • What do Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill have in common? According to Variety, the trio will be lending their voices to the DreamWorks animation, Oobermind. Tiny Fey is also on board to make this a very interesting, and talented, cast. (Variety)
  • The Wayans Brothers are back! Marlon and Shawn Wayans will reprise their roles as FBI agents/undercover white ladies in the sequel to 2004’s hit White Chicks. Noooo! Older brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans, is on board to direct the film. (THR)
  • Producers Rob Weiss, Mitch Davis, Ryan Dexler, and Andrew Left will be making a film based on the book written by real-life pimp, Robert “Iceberg Slim” Beck. The book, “Pimp: The Story of My Life“,  has sold over 5 million copies since its release and is the second best-selling book written by a black man, after Alex Haley’s “Roots.” (Reuters)
