I have to admit, I totally forgot about this movie. Dorian Gray, the title character from the chilling Oscar Wilde novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray will be appearing in a theater near you. Ben Barnes, the star of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian tackles the role of the hedonistic Gray in this updated adaptation. The film simply goes by the title Dorian Gray, and will put a new spin on the literary classic.

Dorian Gray centers on “a privileged and beautiful young man in Victorian England who wishes, as he gazes at his latest portrait, that the picture could age instead of him. Lo and behold, it does – but as Dorian becomes older and more corrupt, the portrait in the attic becomes a monster.” I personally loved the book. It spoke volumes about vanity and self-importance. The last actor to portray Gray was Stuart Townsend in 2003′s The League of Extraordinary Gentleman.
