It hinges on people going to many movies in a span of weeks or months, and being interested in the concept of Avengers as a whole instead of each individual film. Would Thor get as much interest as Captain America or would any of them garner as much interest as Iron Man 2? I think the break between movies is actually good since people could catch it on Netflix or even premium TV, gaining more interest.
