It’s time for a film that no one has heard of! Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, (yes I know, another vampire film) which is kind of like a horror film for kids, starring John C. Reilly, Ken Watanabe, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Massoglia,Willem Dafoe and Salma Hayek, and directed by Paul Weitz.
I have no idea what to say about this movie. I want to hate it and yet I find the trailer amusing (damn you John C. Reilly for being so good in everything).

Synopsis: Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, based on the popular series of books by Darren Shan, is a fantasy-adventure about a teenager who unknowingly breaks a 200-year-old truce between two warring factions of vampires. Pulled into a fantastic life of misunderstood sideshow freaks and grotesque creatures of the night, one teen will vanish from the safety of a boring existence and fulfill his destiny in a place drawn from nightmares.
The film will be in theaters October 23, 2009.

No the mentor dies in the 9th book and darren dies too in the 12 book… he does not take over the circus…cirque… but he travels after the vampaneze in the search of steve to kill him and stop the end of the world… DUH!!

i read the books (well not the last because i havent bought it) and i think the movie will screw up the whole story but i dont know maybe it will be cool(not as the books of course) just have to wait
