VOTD: Michael Jackson and Brett Ratner?

I just saw this video on Cinematical and had to show it to you guys. I have no clue why Michael Jackson would be hanging out with Brett Ratner, seeing as they never worked together, but apparently they were buddies! What’s even weirder than the couple dancing in a car (well MJ dancing, Ratner swaying) is the the voice-over added by Jackson which seems like this was meant to be added to something else. Was this a special feature on something?

This was shown as part of the Fox TV special "Michael Jackson's Private Home Movies" in 2003. A common denominator of theirs is Chris Tucker, who worked with MJ on his music video "You Rock My World" and on the Rush Hour movies with Brett, so that could be how they met.

Brett is a gigantic celebrity shmooze whore…everyone knows this. It's how he gets his validation in life. He probably pretended to be all innocent and childlike so he could sucker MJ into hanging out with him for awhile. Then I'm sure ratner would slink back to his house and have a few whores there. The guy is sleaze incarnate.

Ratner had to get permission to use Chris Tucker's Michael impression/dance for Rush Hour 2 and ended up getting invited to the ranch for written permission. They ended up finding out that they had a lot in common and became friends.

Why are you hating on Ratner? Looks like MJ is having a good time. That is a far cry from where he ended up. If there were more people who were there to make him laugh and acted normal with him, he probably wouldn't have ended up where he did. You are so 2003 with All your Ratner hate, which you should be directing towards the doctors who gave him the drugs. positivity and love brotha.

Well dsc not quite. It has been reported that Brett Ratner lured Michael Jackson to the home of one Alvin Malnik, a reputed loan shark with mob ties. The reason? MIchael's Beatles catalog. You can take it from there. MJ himself said that everyone he came into contact with wanted something from him and he was just sick of it.

I have to think you may be right about him playing up to Michael being as he knew Mike would like all child like and sweet but he sure does not have that same thing in his other interviews so I wonder which one is the real Brett. So many fakes around Michael.

Acually Your All Wrong! MJ And Brett Have Been Friends Since There Childhood And They Were Both Very Surprized To See Each Other After Such Long Time Because After MJ Went Solo, They Never Saw Each Other Again, Now Im Not Sure When And How They Met Again, But I Know I Noticed MJ Seemed Happier After They Started Hanging Out Again!
