First look at The Runaways

It’s here– the first look into The Runaways. The film is based on the real-life girl-punk band The Runaways. The films stars the 15-year-old Dakota Fanning (who looks all grown-up) and Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart. Thanks to JustJared, we have a some photos of the set of The Runaways of both Fanning and Stewart.

The Runaways will be directed by Floria Sisgismondi and due to her lack of feature films it’s hard to say if the film will be a total success, but it certainly has a good story to go off of..
As for Stewart, she’s playing the iconic Joan Jett with jet-black hair. It’s hard to imagine her playing a hardcore rock star when she’s known for her soft role as Bella in Twilight, but so far she looks the part. As for, Fanning, we all know she will be showing us all what a great actress shes become in co-starring role as Cherie Currie. According to Stewart, she gets to de-flower Fanning. Kristen looks amazing! It's really weird too, because no matter that movie she's been in she always looks the same, but in this she has totally transformed! It's really cool that she's playing this role too because otherwise I'd never have checked out The Runaways' music, and while it's "ok", I find that Joan Jett & The Blackhearts music is waaay better. So now I'm jammin' to music my mom listened to in high school!
