Here are the stories from this weekend in the movie world:
- The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences board have decided to make some two minor but important changes to the OSCARS starting with this year. First change they agreed on was to alter the best-song voting so that it’s possible there will be no nominees in any given year. The second change was that they decided to present the “testimonial” awards at a separate black-tied event and not the show itself. Read about the changes and more. (Variety)
- New poster has been made available by Paramount for Stephen Sommers‘ movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. The poster is of Rachel Nichols’ character Scarlett. You can view this and previously released posters on (Superherohype).
- Fans believed the hope of a third Batman film died as Heath Ledger, who played the Joker in the sequel passed away but director Chris Nolan may finish his trilogy after all. Nolan’s Batman is a study of hope’s triumph over corruption, over evil not about the happenings and journey of Batman. There are a lot of issues, one of the biggest being where in time should the third film start. Full coverage on the problems that come with the third Batman film are available for your reading pleasure. (FirstShowing)
