It’s safe to say, we’re all a little curious to see how Avengers is going to come together. We all know that having too much in one movie can hurt it, rather than help. Screenwriter Zak Penn has started talking about working on the project, which will not come out until 2012. Apparently the film is giving Penn a hard time. At the moment he is trying to figure out how to place stories from Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor into the new Avengers film without it being forced or cluttered. Penn also wanted to include the characters from The Fantastic Four but Fox turned that idea down (thank god!).
Penn is now working with writers, making sure they are all up to date with all the individual characters they will be including in the movie. They are doing Captain America and Thor first, and then Avengers is coming out. In an interview with SciFiWire Penn talked about this task:
I’m taking a meeting next week with the Thor and Captain America people, and we are all going to get together, and I will see what is going to happen. I’ll see where they are leaving the characters; it’s pretty complicated.
According to Penn it is easier to do crossover stories in movies. It should be fun to see all the major superheroes come together in one movie.
Do you think this is going to be a hit or just one big mess?
