Hopefully it will increase readership of the series, as it is applicable to the kinds of world experiances teens read about in the news. The Tommorrow series focuses on things like intergrity and honesty in battle, the difference between terrorists and freedom fighters, and the nature of good and evil. I applaud Marsden's work. As a fan of the Twilight and Harry Potter series, I have to say that drawing a comparison between them and this series is reaching. While they may have similar audiences, they are very different. For instance, I don't think every elderly person is interested in "Old man's War," by John Scalzi, simply due to the fact that the characters are elderly. Furthermre, I'd hate to see the "romance factor" overshadow the more important significance of these stories. I'm very excited about this movie. With the slightest bit of luck there won't be any connection between them, and that the current film is true to the darkness, grittiness, violence and seriousness of the source material. I had 2 read this book the English and was like oh F!&k coz it was describe as being science fiction but then I read it and then I read the follow up series and I haven't stopped re-reading it for the last 6 yrs. Please god don't let them screw this up coz there will b A LOT of angry teens out there. If u haven't read this book (or the rest of the series) please do. I only have 3 complete series of books in my house, Twilight Saga, the Tomorrow Series and the Ellie Chronicles (the follow up series of the Tomorrow Series) and I am a readoholic I read like 150 books a yr and for this series 2 b a favourite of mine it has 2 b special!!!! Oh my god, oh my god thank god they finally r doin this!!!!!
