I'm drawn to special effects sure, but how many minutes of actual robot battles were there? Twenty at most pal. The rest of the story was Sam and Mik-I don't care what your name is trying to confess their love for eachother. Transformers has always been robots fighting first and then the humans having their own time to say a few words not the other way around. Ever see transformers the movie? The real cartoon one? Airplanes and battleship laser cannons couldn't touch the decepticons. Devastator was taken down in one hit! Utter stupidity.

It wasn't the length that angers me it is the lack of autobot decepticon action. Most of the time its just the army bombing or shotting at the robots. We get about ten minutes tops of the transformers actually fighting eachother and two hours of conoluted and innane story that the original transformers writers (of the cartoon) would be ashamed to even look at. But hey, it made alot of money so who cares if it has ruined any trace of originality that transformers franchise had to offer. Gold teeth, illiterate, N word saying robots? Come on writers, I expect more from you then that.

Have you ever seen the cartoons or the original transformers movie? There is about ten minutes of people and about 95% autobot decepticon action. This movie is a slap in the face to all who hold Transformers in high esteem.

For true transformers fans who have seen the cartoons, both the story's plot and characters have been tainted by writers who obviously had no idea what Transformers was before they decided to sit down and write a script for the movie. From a lack of robot fighting to racial sterotypes, this movie does wrong to all who hold transformers close to their hearts. The only autobots who even get more than a minute of fighting in are Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. We don't even get to see the weapon specialist, Ironhide fight. Soundwave, who is supposed to be the second strongest decipticon aside from Megatron staays in space the entire time telling Decipticons what to do. And what about the Ali baba of the Decipticons the Fallen? I'm sorry, kids movie or not, somebody should have redone the script so that it had a little semblence to a coherent storyline.

to hell with the so called critics. i only hear the voice of the people and the people LOVE IT. i roll my eyes at the comment thats its for just teen boys. im a god damn twentysix yearold female and i enjoyed it real exciting . not to mention my 33 year old husband whos a huge tranformer freak since childhood. he didnt even wait foe us to see it together with our son. as soon as it came out he was in the lines and went again we my son and i did. AWESOME

For those of you who criticize the length, maybe you just don't understand the whole story behind transformer. It's supposed to be action packed and full of explosions. I thought it was fricken awesome. It was an amazing adrenaline rush.

Overall, it is fun, but the faults become tiresome and therefore make the film tiresome, especially with its long length (2 and a half hours i believe).
