Movie Releases: The Taking of Pelham 123, Moon, Tetro…
By Anet Hovhanesian
Denzel Washington and John Travolta star in Tony Scott’s new movie The Taking of Pelham 123. Does it even matter what the movie is about with two A-list talented actors like that? If the hijacking of a New York City subway train which turns into a face-off (what’s up with Travolta and Face/offs?) between a NY dispatcher and an insane mastermind doesn’t interest you, don’t worry, you have other options. For more darker choices you can go see Duncan Jones’ Moon starring Sam Rockwell or the Francis Ford Coppola’s black-and-white Cannes hit Tetro. Both are amazing. If you’re looking for the family friendly then your best bet is the story of a workaholic man (Eddie Murphy) and his daughter in Karey Kirkpartrick’s Imagine That.
