This week is exciting! While searching for deals for all of you lovely readers, I came across a deal I couldn’t resist, so I caved in and bought it right away (The Legend of Bagger Vance). Now it is your turn. I have put together a great list of bargains, and a lot are a bit dramatic, probably enough to get that tissue box out, but it should be good for you. Enough said, please enjoy and let me know what film you bought below.

My pick of the week: Matt Damon makes the best nervous and caring guy in The Legend of Bagger Vance, which also stars Will Smith. The film is about a young golfer (Damon), who makes it to the big leagues with the help of his caddy (Smith). The film is heartfelt and the acting is great. Take a look at the trailer below.

My pick of the week: Horton Hears a Who. It is cute and crazy. This film is full of creativity that expands the imagination. An elephant carries a world (the speck) with him and protects it; and becomes a hero. But this animation is unbelievably amazing, and the world inside the speck has the greatest name- Whoville, a place where the sun always shines.

Under $20

My pick of the week: Cinderella Man because it is heroic and historical; it is one for the ages. The build-up and downfall in the film is so devastating, but so realistic especially for a time period as the 1930s: The parents sending their children away because they don’t have enough money to feed them and a father trying to make it as a boxer. The story line in Ron Howard‘s film is untouchable and both, Russell Crowe and Renée Zellweger give their best performances. This film is worth every penny, and in Blu-Ray.

See any good ones?
