A while back we told you that Simon Pegg and frequent collaborator Nick Frost would be reuniting for a road trip comedy called Paul. The film centers on “two British comic book geeks who travel together across the United States, experiencing the highlights of American culture along the way.” Not only will the actors star in the film, but they also co-wrote the script. As of late there’s been some major casting news on the Paul front including the addition of Seth Rogen.

According to Variety, Rogen has been tapped to voice the alien character, Paul. Also joining the cast is Jason Bateman, Jane Lynch, Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig. I’m beginning to think Wiig and Hader have a “must be in the same movie at all times” clause in their contracts. Besides Rogen, no specifics have been given regarding the description of the other characters in the film. Paul will be directed by Greg Motolla, the man behind Adventureland and Superbad, and will begin shooting next month.

When I first heard of this movie a while back, I was excited because I’m a huge fan of Pegg and Frost, but with the addition of Jason Bateman they just earned my movie ticket tenfold. I love that guy!

What do you think of the latest casting for Greg Matolla’s Paul?
