Edwards Air Force Base in California has reported that scenes from Iron Man 2 was filmed on the base and they have pictures to prove it. The director of the upcoming sequel, Jon Favreau said he was excited to return to Edwards for the history the place possess and the professional Airmen and Marines there. Apparently, while Iron Man 2 was being filmed at Edwards, between May 11 through 13, real members of the Edwards’ team were casted as extras for the film, and as technical advisors.

“All these real military assets make the movie more authentic and the topography and the beauty of the Desert and flightline open the movie up,” Favreau said. “But it’s the rich history of the location and the deep roots it has with flight that gives Tony Stark and his father a pedigree in the aerospace industry.”
Favreau also mentioned that he was was grateful for Edwards’ hospitality.
