On another remake note, a Disney live action classic will be relaunched for today’s younger generation. According to THR, a new script for the 1986 film Flight of the Navigator is being written as we speak. Brad Copeland who worked on the surprise hit Wild Hogs is penning the screenplay for the studio.

Flight of the Navigator tells the story of a 12 year old boy who is abducted by aliens in 1978 and returns eight years later in 1986. He has no memory of what happened and has managed to stay the same age. He becomes a product of interest for NASA once they discover a connection between him and a crashed alien ship. He eventually escapes with the spacecraft and goes joyriding around the world in an attempt to find his family.

I was never a huge fan of Flight of the Navigator, so this news literally makes no impact on me whatsoever. Therefore the thought of a pending remake isn’t particularly epic for me. I’m sure there are some of you who feel the exact opposite, and loved the original. With that being said, what do you think?

How do you feel about a Flight of the Navigator remake?
