Three New Clips from Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
By Mali Elfman
During the opening ceremony at the Cannes Film Festival we saw a video montage for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, featuring Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell. Now, Comme Au Cinema has just brought us three new clips (actually one of them we’ve seen, but now it’s in better quality) of the film, which show us a small piece of Heath Ledger’s final performance, as well as some absolutely beautiful shots that look straight out Terry Gilliam’s imagination.
Check out the clips below…
The first clip features newcomers Andrew Garfield as Anton and Lily Cole as Valentina where the two talk about running away. We then are briefly introduced to Verne Troyer as Percy, although his appearance doesn’t indicate exactly what he’ll be up to later in the film.

Our second clip is one you’ve seen before, where Heath Ledger introduces us to the Imaginarium…

In this final clip, we get to see Terry Gilliam really strutting his stuff. The special effects are seamless and remind one of things that one thought were only possible in their imagination. I guess that’s the point…

Which clip is your favorite?

That is hard, which clip is my favorite – all three clips are amazing – all three spew that childhood wonder I had as an adult watching Munchausen… Plummer's performance in that clip is awe-inspiring fairy tale real – and looks like Lily (model turned actress) took some good tips from Heath with her mannerisms and ticks all being naturalistic.
I CAN"T WAIT!!!! Bravo Bravo – bittersweet bravissimi

I have always enjoyed anything Heath Ledger has appeared in and especially the film work of Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame. I look forward to seeing this one when its released
