***Update: The AVATAR trailer images of the DTS disk, case and trailer titles are now being confirmed as FAKE. However, the AVATAR trailer in front of TRANSFORMERS 2 has been confirmed by these same sources ***
In the words of Samuel L. Jackson from Jurassic Park, “Hold on to your butts.” Depending on whether or not you’ve become jaded by the many bogus reports surrounding James Cameron’s Avatar this news may be taken with a grain of salt. Over at MarketSaw, they’ve gotten wind of when we can expect the first trailer for the film. They say it will make it’s debut this summer in front of another highly anticipated blockbuster, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
According to MarketSaw, they have a copy of the DVD featuring the trailer, and they’ve posted a couple photos from the title sequence. They’ve stated that Trailer A will be 2 minutes 41 seconds and the copy is a DTS 3D version. Here are the photos below. Make your own decision on whether or not they’re legit.
I have two concerns surrounding this trailer theory. Why would Avatar’s trailer debut in front a 2-D movie, and why does the title look so low budget? Would the viewer need 3-D glasses specifically for the trailer, and then get rid of them for the feature presentation? I’m open to any other ideas regarding whether or not I should believe the hype. What do you guys think?
Do you think Avatar will premiere in front of Transformers? What do you think of the “title sequence?”
