We have some fun news about the highly-anticipated film, Inglourious Basterds, by Quentin Tarantino. The more interesting information regards a possible prequel for the film. Apparently, Tarantino is already in the process of writing a script, just in the case Inglourious Basterds is a “smash.” In fact, he has already written half of the script and is on his way to completing it.
Tarantino hinted at two possible plots for the prequel, it could be about “African-American soldiers stuck behind enemy lines,” or possibly “The Basterds” heading to the South seeking revenge against the Ku Klux Klan in the 50′s. The plots sound a little over the top, but that is what he in known for. If a prequel does happen, I’m voting for the attack on the Ku Klux Klan. Imagine the possibilities; you know there will be at least one Klan member that will lose his head. If not, I’m writing a strongly-worded letter, to Tarantino, stating my disappointment.
Lastly, we have a teaser photo of Michael Fassbender poster for Inglourious Basterds, which will be officially released on the 20th. These have been trickling out over the past few weeks. We have the poster for Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Melanie Laurent, and Eli Roth. This photo was taken in Cannes, it is hanging on the side of a hotel.
What do you think? Would you like to see a prequel? Do you think Quentin Tarantino is jumping the gun?
