New photos and clips of the animated Tarik Saleh’s movie, Metropia, have been released by filmschoolrejects. The photos are very dark, depressing, and haunting. The film is set in Stockholm, Sweden when the world is experiencing an oil shortage, and in response, all cities are connected to each other through a network of underground tunnels.
The story is about the lead character, Roger, who realizes he has no control of his life, the system actually controls it. In an attempt to regain his life, he tries to escape society with the help of the beautiful woman, Nina. The voices of the film include Vincent Gallo, Juliette Lewis, Alexander Skarsgard, and Stellan Skarsgard.

These types of movies actually really creep me out. The cross between lifelike and animated is amazing, but weird.
Metropia will be released in Sweden in November, but the U.S. release date is unknown.
