Will Ferrell to Join the Neighborhood Watch
By Krystal Clark
Who wouldn’t want Will Ferrell living next door to them? According to Variety, Ferrell might be teaming up with 20th Century Fox to headline a new comedy. The film will be called Neighborhood Watch, and has David Dobkin in negotiations to direct. Anything that makes fun of civilian vigilante justice is hilarious in my book, if Ferrell’s attached I’m already there.
Find out more about film after the jump.
Neighborhood Watch will follow a city guy (Ferrell) on his journey to the suburbs. Once he relocates, he joins the local neighborhood watch and ends up uncovering a major conspiracy. The screenplay is written by Jared Stern and the film will be produced by Shawn Levy. If Dobkin and Ferrell agree to the project it might will be a reunion for the to seeing as Dobkin directed Wedding Crashers, which featured a cameo by Ferrell.
This sounds like a typical Ferrell comedy. I don’t see why he wouldn’t sign on the dotted line. It’s right up his alley and seems like something he could really have fun with. The actor can next be seen in this summer’s big screen adaptation of the old school TV series Land of the Lost. I’ll be there for that one too.
Would you go see Ferrell in Neighborhood Watch?

I love the Burbs too much to have this remade also. I actually have it on DVR right now to watch again soon. Will could be funny in this type of role.
