Finally! Pixar and Disney have finally released the featurette for Dug the Dog. As many of you have heard me mention in past Up posts, Dug the Dog is probably my favorite Pixar characters of all time. Although Kevin the Undiscovered Species still cracks me up, there’s just no topping Dug. He’s a talking dog (or rather a dog who has been given a collar that communicates his thoughts) and he is absolutely lovably hilarious. What I love about Dug is that they didn’t just turn him into a cartoon dog, he says things that you could imagine a chubby, not so bright, golden retriever saying.
I don’t want to spoil too much for you. Check out the Dug the Dog for yourself below…
By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.
All I can say is that this is just a small taste of Dug. In the film and in the context of his surroundings he’s brilliant. I can’t wait to see the entire film.
Up will be flying into theaters on May 29th, don’t miss it!
What do you think of Dug the Dog? Has he won his way into your heart yet?
