We knew it would come around sooner or later! The first official trailer for the Nora Ephron feature, Julie & Julia. Ephron also wrote the screenplay for the film, which is a combination of the books “My Life in France” and the self titled “Julie & Julia”. “My Life in France” is the autobiography of the late Julia Child, while “Julie & Julia” is a book written by the film’s main character Julie Powell. The film reunites Doubt stars Meryl Streep and Amy Adams as it’s leads and will open in theaters this summer on August 7.

Here is a description of the film courtesy of Firstshowing.net:
The film follows Powell, a government employee who decides to cook her way through legendary cook Julia Child’s classic cookbook, “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” in one year’s time out of her small Queens kitchen. Powell blogs her daily experiences, gaining a loyal following along the way.
When I first heard of this movie, I didn’t think I would be into it. Yet, I have to admit that I do like the connection between the two main characters. How one learns from the other in an unconventional way to find her true passion in life. This story could have been done in a melodramatic manner, but it looks as if Ephron tries to find the humor in it.
