Just got in from the Transformers: Revenge of the Faller trailer premiere and got some awesome info for you! Before the screening there were rumors of some “special appearances” at the screenings. Well, for once the rumors were true. Michael Bay, Shia LaBeouf, and Tyrese all came out on stage, after JUST wrapping the film to introduce the trailer which they played twice (just in case we missed some glimpses on of Bay’s super fast action shots).

Directly after the trailer we tried to talk to all of them, but E! quickly grabbed LaBeouf and Bay. Luckily, we were able to grab a few moments with Tyrese to talk to him about shooting film, his hew comic book, Luke Cage, the chance of a third Tranformers film and more. Check it out below…

The first two trailers that we’ve seen had a darker tone to them, but the third trailer that they premiered was much lighter and more actions based.

We asked Tyrese about the tone of the new trailer and he said:

The energy of this film embraces most of the elements of the first one. On the first film they were getting to know each other, it’s  like a family reunion this time around and you can see that between the characters.

We heard you just finshed the film, when did it wrap?

We started today at 10 a.m. and wrapped an hour and half ago

Although we tested the water, he then said that he couldn’t reveal what he had just shot, so we went for the obvious… How was it working with Michael Bay again?

Michael Bay is the Director of our time right now as far forward thinking and using massive set pieces that make sense.

Looks like someone’s a fan of Bay!

What do we have to look forward to for your character in the new film?

He got upgraded in the Air Force in the film. Highest rank. Now his name is Master Sergeant Epps.

How did you feel the last film effected your career?

The last film took all of our careers to a whole other level.

After the first film, did you always know there would be a sequel?

Myself and the cast all wanted it, it was just about the right story and the right script and when it came around we all jumped on it.

Is there a third one in the works? And if so, will you be doing it?

I don’t die in this one!

I hope he didn’t just spoil anything! There were scenes with pyramids in the trailer, did you get to shoot in Egypt?

No, I didn’t get to go to Egypt.

We heard there’s a Fast and Furious 5 coming up. Even though you weren’t in the 4th would you come back for a 5th?

Part five will be happening. If my phone rings for #5 I’m there.

What can you tell us about your upcoming comic book role in the Luke Cage film?

I can’t speak on that, but I have my own comic book coming out “Mayhem” and that’s going to be with image comics. It’s due out late this summer.

Last week he did a launch party for it and and interview for complex mag. Should be on their website, if you want more information about it.

So, what’s the comic book about?

It’s about a gun slinging vigilant who seeks refuge in the basement of a church… It was not made to make a film or toys, it was made to be the best comic it could be.

Will you be at Comic-Con this year promoting it?

Will you be going a World Tour to promote Transformers?

Yes. Japan. Brazil. We cut Mexico.

Guess they don’t want pig flu! He ended the interview with a humble thanks to all the Transformers fans out there:

I want to thank the fans so much for making the sequel possible, without them it wouldn’t be possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.

Sounds like someone likes working in big summer films! All his answers came straight out of “how to be a A-list actor” handbook!

If you didn’t get to screen the trailer today, hopefully we’ll have the trailer for you online by tomorrow!
