Director Tony Scott has just decided on his next project to follow up this summer’s The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3. According to Variety, Scott is teaming up with Fox to direct an action thriller entitled Unstoppable. Both he and the studio are looking to fast track the production so the flick will be ready to shoot by later this year. The film centers on a runaway train that’s carrying a shipment of toxic chemicals. As if that wasn’t bad enough the engineer and conductor are in a “race against time” to save innocent lives that hang in the balance!

Unstoppable will be produced by Scott and Julie Yorn, while the screenplay will be written by Mark Bomback. Am I the only one who thinks this sounds like a badass action movie? With a name like Unstoppable I keep thinking of Bruce Willis in the original Die Hard. I mean seriously how do you “die hard?” No one really knows but it worked, and it was awesome. No cast is attached to this project as of yet, but I would love to see him as the engineer turned hero. Action movies can be pretty entertaining if done by the right person.
Who would you like to see cast in Unstoppable?
