Major developments have been made for Ridley Scott’s yet to be titled Robin Hood project. First off, Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett will lead the cast as Robin Hood and Maid Marian. Second, a trio of talented actors have stepped into the roles of the Merry Men which include Kevin Durand as Little John, Scott Grimes as Will Scarlett, and Alan Doyle as Allan Adalye. With these five in place there were still several key roles that needed to be filled, until now. According to FilmSchoolRejects, four more actors have joined this medieval drama. Find out who after the jump.

Film and stage icon has signed on to star as Eleanor of Aquitaine. Her son King John will be portrayed by Oscar Isaac, who recently co-starred in the biopic Che. Mark Strong who played Archy in Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla, will star as Sir Godfrey one of John’s henchman. Newcomer Lea Seydoux will star as Isabella the Queen’s successor, who will make her American debut in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

I am really psyched for this movie. At first I was a little worried because of the lack of solid news regarding its production. Scott never really gave any direct info about the film or what we could expect. Even though the cast is flourishing they still haven’t come up with a name yet. As long as the material is good, the marketing department can have that honor. Ridley Scott is a badass in everything he does so I only expect the best.

What do you think about the latest additions to the cast? Has your opinion of the film changed?
