Apparently a co-starring role in an Oscar winning film, breathtaking looks, and a bit of talent, is all you need to be the next big thing. And you all thought it was hard to be an actor in Hollywood! Freida Pinto (the pretty one in Slumdog Millionaire) seems to be lining up upcoming films, one of which will be a starring role in Director Julian Schnabel‘s film, Miral. Adapted from a book by Rula Jebreal, the screenplay was written by Schnabel himself.

The story itself is about a woman named Hind Husseini (to be played by Hiam Abbas), who is trying to start an orphanage in Jerusalem, in 1948. Pinto’s inclusion in this movie can guarantee one thing: they will be able to make the money they need for the orphanage.]

Schnabel (Basquiat, Before Night Falls, Berlin) looks forward to making a movie that start with the letter “M,” while Pinto has recently began working on the Woody Allen set.

Are you excited to see Freida as the next big thing?
