Jesse Eisenberg, star of the upcoming comedy Adventureland has got another gig! According to Variety, the young actor has just landed a role in the ensemble piece Kill Your Darlings. Eisenberg will play a poet, alongside Chris Evans and Ben Whishaw in the film that chronicles the emergence of the Beat Generation after a high profile murder. The drama will be directed by John Krokidas, who also co-wrote the script with Austin Bunn.
Kill Your Darlings will be produced by Killer Films’ Christine Vachon, and D/F Management. The description of the film isn’t that grand, but here’s a short description of the story.
Whishaw will play Lucien Carr, the Columbia U. undergrad who brought together Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac (Evans) and William S. Burroughs.
Hmm, further research and info will be needed for the general public on this one. Seeing Eisenberg, Evans, and Whishaw in a period piece together should be interesting. If the wait is too long for you to get your Eisenberg fix, Adventureland hits theaters on April 3, and Chris Evans will star as Lucas Lee in the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
