Transformers 3 Gets a Release Date
By Krystal Clark
The sequel to the 2007 summer blockbuster Transformers hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but Paramount Studios is already looking towards the future. According to FirstShowing, we’re going to have a Transformers trilogy on our hands, as the studio has just announced the release date for the third installment of the budding franchise. The first film was released on July 3, 2007, and Revenge of the Fallen will hit theaters on June 24th of this year.
Find out when we can expect the third installment after the jump!
Transformers 3 will be released on July 1, 2011. That’s right, an autobot film will pop out every other year. Marvel can’t be the only one’s dominating the summer months. On a suspicious note, director Michael Bay hasn’t been confirmed to helm the third film. This smells like a diversion tactic, Bay’s vision is one of the main reason’s Transformers was a success. I’ll keep hope alive that he’ll return until he officially states otherwise. You can’t believe everything you read the first time around.
Are you excited about Transformers becoming a trilogy?
