Marvel Comics is positioning themselves to officially take over the world.  Marvel Comics has created an international advisory board to assist in the expansion of the brand overseas; more specifically, in China and India.

The board currently has Bollywood-producer, Manmohan Shetty, and the Chinese digital producer, Peter Yip, as members. Marvel is looking for two additional members to complete the advisory board. Eventually, Marvel would like to add representatives from around the world including Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

With the success of Marvel Comics’ movies, it only makes sense that China and India are the next frontier. Currently, the international market brings in 35% of Marvel’s total revenue. They hope to increase that figure to 50%, with the help of this advisory board.

Marvel Comics has already partnered with Japan’s Madhouse to produce anime versions of their characters.

With India and China each having over a billion people, it only makes sense to tap into those markets. There are a lot of people who like to watch movies and read comics.   Looks like Marvel Comics knows how to get to a big payday.

What do you think about this?  Do you think this will help?
