It looks like Christopher Nolan isn’t wasting any time with casting his new film with a whole new star.

Leonardo DiCaprio is in final negotiations to star in Nolan’s science-fiction film Inception, his own personal project which he wrote with his brother and is soon to direct. The script has been kept under lock and key, all we know do far is that it is a “contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.”

Which basically tells us nothing. All we know if that the project is set to shoot this year and is slated to be released in summer 2010, with Nolan and Emma Thomas producing.

DiCaprio, will also be starring in Martin Scorsese‘s upcoming film, Shutter Island this year. So it looks like it’s going to be a big year for him.

What do you think? Are you excited to see Nolan work on his new film or do you wish he would just get back to Batman 3.
