Here are some of the top news stories from WonderCon weekend….

  • Will the cast from Star Trek : The Next Generation make an appearance in the new Star Trek movie? At the IDW Comics panel at WonderCon, they spoke about how the TNG characters play an important role in the Star Trek prequel comic, which is the lead in to the film. “The end of issue 4 is a cliffhanger and is going to continue in the first few minutes of the movie.” [Latino Review]
  • Is a Cloverfield sequel officially in the works? At the J.J Abrams Star Trek panel, the films director actually gave somewhat of a confirmation regarding the movies progress.”We’re actually working on an idea right now.” [Coming Soon]

  • Two new exclusive scenes were shown at the Terminator Salvation panel. They are a bit spoilerish, but if you’d like to check out a full on description of the newly released footage click the above link. [IGN]
  • McG want’s his R-rating. Terminator Salvation is still up in the air in terms of its MPAA rating. The first three films in the franchise were rated R, but it looks as if the studio may be gunning for a bigger opening. This means they will need a broader audience, cue the PG-13 crowd.
