I dissagree with the reviewer in that most everyone who left the theater without reading the novel felt obligated to see it Rorshacs way. It made me feel like the directer thought we were too stupid to come up with out own conclusion so he sapped it of its depth. The added dialog between Ozzy and Night Owl butchered the movie. Instead of comparing two philisophical ideas "become a monster to defeat one" and retributionism, Snyder just picked the obvious "good guy" one instead of presenting the merit of unpopular beliefs that Alan Moore is so good at doing. It obviously suffers from squeezing a huge amount of comic book story into a movie and some of the sections seem awkward and odd, but the sections they did well (dr manhattans creation) managed 2 blow my mind completely. i was inspired 2 download and read the graphic novel and i'm impressed they stayed so close 2 the original material. Also, however, this is a movie that is destined 2 be misunderstood by a large percentage of audiences due to its very philosophical and symbolic nature. (see some of the above comments) i recommend that people watch it with an open mind or maybe give it a miss if they are looking for a "popcorn superhero movie."
