Elton John to Produce ‘Pride and Predator’

I love this picture, it’s hilarious on so many levels! If you haven’t guessed, the photo is a mash up between the Jane Austen classic Pride and Prejudice, and the 80′s action thriller Predator. According to MTV, Elton John’s production company Rocket Pictures will be adapting the Austen novel and adding a horror twist. The film’s screenplay was written by Andrew Kemble and Will Clark, who will also direct the film. The story will follow the book pretty closely until the part where aliens land in Meryton village, and open up a can of whoop*ss on its unsuspecting citizens.
MTV spoke to the film’s producer David Furnish, and got his take on the high brow, low brow collaboration.
“It felt like a fresh and funny way to blow apart the done-to-death Jane Austen genre by literally dropping this alien into the middle of a costume drama, where he stalks and slashes to horrific effect,”
Pride and Predator will start filming later this year in London, but no cast has been announced as of yet. I could see a few of the actors from Friday the 13th appearing in this one. Even with the ”suspect” plot, why am I slightly interested? I wouldn’t pay to see the movie, but I wouldn’t mind investing in a trailer.

yes, and this is a COMPLETE knockoff of pride and prejudice and zombies. credit should go to seth grahame smith, the adaptor of that novel. also, it's already on sale, check amazon.
