Those crazy kids are at it again! By kids I’m referring to Jonah Hill and Jason Schwartzman, and by crazy I mean hilarious! According to Variety, Hill penned the script for a film called The Adventurer’s Handbook, which has just been acquired by Universal. The film was inspired by the book written by Mick Conefrey. “The Adventurer’s Handbook” is a comedy in which a quartet of pals go on a global adventure, inspired by the hardcore stories of explorers whose tales are chronicled in Conefrey’s book.” Hmm, sounds similar to something else I’ve seen, but I won’t get into that. Check out more on the film after the jump.

Hill and Schwartzman are already signed on to co-star, and Hill is trying to get Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod) attached to direct. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the comedic troupe “The Lonely Island,” they consist of Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and SNL castmember Andy Samberg. They’re the trio behind those digital shorts we see on SNL every week. Wouldn’t it be amazing if these guys made appearances in the film as well?

The film is scheduled to start shooting this year, with Hill also serving as an executive producer. Until then you can see the multi-talented actor alongside Schwartzman in the upcoming Judd Apatow comedy Funny People. The film co-stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, and Leslie Mann.
