Obviously the sociological aspects of being a vampire are intriguing. It is nearly impossible for a vampire to live among the common man considering they never age and they cannot be out during the day. And as Brad Pitt showed in Interview with the Vampire, you have to have a certain greedy disposition to live for eternity.
