OK. Calm down. I know that this isn’t a movie, but just like “The Sopranos,” “Mad Men” cannot be considered regular TV. This is one of the greatest shows of all time. It’s got the look, the quality, the acting, the script, you name it, it has it and I thought it deserved a shout out.
Fans of the show have been waiting on the edge of their seats to see if they would bring “Mad Men” back on the air. It seems ridiculous not to bring it back now, because the show is more popular than ever at the moment. “Mad Men” isn’t even on the air and everyone is talking about it. Jon Hamm has recently been catapulted into superstar status. It would be foolish for them to cancel the show now, it has as much of a guarantee for a solid season as any studio could hope for.
I guess that’s why AMC prexy Charlie Collier was sent to announce…
“As long as we get the writers’ room up and running over the next few months, we’re fine (for a summer launch),” Collier told reporters after the sesh, that he’s optimistic that an agreement with Weiner will be reached soon.
Not quite a solid “It’s happening!”, but I’ll take it! Seems like the studios have finally realized that not only do they have a good show that people like AND they can make money at the same time. How amazing and rare is that?
I can’t wait for this show to come back on the air. Can you?
