The nominations are in and The Dark Knight will be up against some pretty serious competition. There are some really great picks on the list this year. The only screenplay I felt was missing, was Revolutionary Road which I thought was a shoe in. But then again, every single film on this list has earned it’s spot in it’s own way.
Last years WGA winners all went on to win Oscars. Best Original Screenplay went to Diablo Cody for Juno and Best Adapted Screenplay with to No Country for Old Men, by Ethan Coen & Joel Coen, Based on the Novel by Cormac McCarthy. Will the same thing happen this year? We’ll see! The winners will be announced on Saturday, February 7th.
