Quantum of Solace has been premiered already to the Brits! Damn them and their sneaky English accents. They appear to be so friendly and then they take Bond from you! Well I guess it was there’s first, but see if I care!
The premiere took place October 29th, in Odeon Leicester Square in London. The event was of course a star studded evening with attendance from the stars of the film to Prince Harry and Prince William. It was a truly royal affair.
Daniel Craig wore a bow tie, a red poppy (for remembrance), and of course a matching sling for his arm. I think that sling is beginning to just become a part of his wardrobe.
Dame Judi Dench showed up looking classic and gorgeous as always. Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton seemed to be competing for wildest dress. Check out more pictures below.

Well, just when we thought casting was over and that the movie has begun, Quentin Tarantino has decided to add two more stars to his already over populated film. The first star is a Tarantino veteran. I mean, what would a Tarantino film be without Sam L. Jackson? That’s right Jackson along will be joining the Inglourious Basterds gang.
Allegedly Jackson wanted to role so much that he “called up Tarantino himself when he heard he wasn’t up for any casting spots.” And it worked! He’s in the film as the narrator. He apparently will pop up at random times throughout the movie to “add some context and background info.”

The New Valkyrie trailer has just been released and the BEST part about it is…. EDDIE IZZARD! That’s right. He made it into the trailer… two times! As does Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, and Kenneth Branagh. But all those were expected. We get to watch Izzard scream into Tom Cruise’s face. HOW EXCITING! From Executive Transvestite to German officer! I just got even more excited about this film.
I mean honestly. Having Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, and Kenneth Branagh as your supporting cast is amazing. Then you have Cruise to lay down the stunts. And you top it off with Eddie Izzard! I’m there! And the story doesn’t look half bad either. German’s trying to kill Hitler during WWII (I think we know how it ends), what a great story to tell!
Check out the new trailer below and let us know what you think!

Thanks to a nonstop work schedule of closely a year and some mysterious release date maneuvers, the fall season belongs to Elizabeth Banks. The trifecta began with a nuanced turn as First Lady Laura Bush in Oliver Stone’s galvanizing W., and it closes with the McLovin’ equipped Role Models. But the part that could make her a household name is the smart, compassionate, and adorably easy Miri “Stinky” Linky in Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
Aside from her unexpectedly profane sense of humor (in Seth Rogen’s opinion, one of her most admirable traits), it’s her commitment that has been earning raves from directors and co-stars. From the freakiest freak in the local bookstore to the wife of the leader of the free world, there’s an investment of time and craft that’s flipped one-note bit parts into golden “movie trailer” moments. Usually character actors have a rough transition into leading roles, but not Banks. According to director Kevin Smith she’s the best kept secret in Hollywood. To reiterate, she’s in three separate movies in the span of a month. It’s safe to say the secret is out.
Here’s what she told Screencrave about her co-star’s appearance, re-evaluating audience priorities, and her ideal castmates for the hypothetical Elizabeth Banks sex tape.

Here is the video of Joaquin Phoenix officially announcing his leave from acting. Despite what other rude reports are saying (LatinoReview – See you in a few years Joaquin, when you realize nobody remembers you and your music career consists of you opening for Clay Aiken or Aldo Nova at the county fair.”) I’m guessing by the sound of it, that Phoenix thought about this long and hard and didn’t feel like his announcement was respected. He may have taken the interviewers response a little too seriously, but he doesn’t deserve the rude statements some are making about him.
This is simply an actor who has taken his career very seriously and is ready to take a break from it. Yes SOME actors get paid a lot of money, but an actors willingness to step away from that opportunity and follow their passions should be respected.
