Chow Not Directing ‘Green Hornet’

In a typical Hollywood move, Stephen Chow has opted not to direct the big screen movie version of the classic TV series The Green Hornet. According to Variety, Chow exited the position over “creative differences.” I wonder what those differences were? Did he want to make the movie good, and take it beyond its campy roots?  We may never know.

More on The Green Hornet after the jump.

Chow, who directed and starred in “Kung Fu Hustle” and “Shaolin Soccer,” signed in September to direct the film and play the role originated in the TV series by Bruce Lee.

The film was scripted by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and Rogen is starring as the masked crime fighter.

I hope they don’t mess this one up for Bruce’s sake. He’s probably doing aerial kicks in his grave over all this.
