You may not know his name at first glance, but David R. Ellis is the man behind one of the biggest pop culture sensations of this decade. I’m referring to the 2006 film Snakes on a Plane. According to Variety, the campy director has signed on to do another dark popcorn flick entitled, Six Days Till Midnight.

Pic is about a wealthy businessman who encounters a stranger who says he has six days to answer one question. For each day he doesn’t get the answer, a loved one will be killed, ending with the businessman’s death at the end of the sixth day.

Well, doesn’t that sound heartwarming? Ellis’ previous films include Final Destination 2, and Cellular. He has also helmed the upcoming Final Destination 4, which is already in post-production. Yeah, I’m mad about that too.
