Amy Adams will star in 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of Adena Halpern‘s novel “The Ten Best Days of My Life.” Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) is looking to direct the film and Amy Adams will produce the film with Tim McNulty of 21 Laps.
Levy has said, “I’ve known Adena for over a decade, and there is Amy, reading her book on set,” Levy said. “I told her I knew the writer, she said she was loving the book, and I asked her if we should try to do this together…There is a father-daughter dynamic at the heart of the character’s redemption, and as the father of three girls, that resonated strongly for me.”
Adams will play a woman who dies and goes to heaven but is in danger of being demoted to a lower level of paradise unless she can prove herself by recounting her 10 best days.
This is definitely a familiar story that, but one that has a lot of amazing opportunities if the screenplay is properly adapted. Plus, the part sounds perfect for Amy Adams. I’m not even sure why, but it just seems like it fits.
What do you think? Are you excited for the film?
