According to LatinoReview, Jack Black is set to star in Gulliver’s Travels. The film will be another adaptation of Jonathan Swift’s classic novel of the same name. Screenwriter Nicholas Stoller is working on the script, and recently spoke about what locations will be used in the film.

….he starts in present day New York. And he kind of falls into Lilliput which is more fantasy then..I think the originals, the original novel took place in kind of 18th century England.

Gulliver’s Travels will be directed by Rob Letterman, whose credits include the upcoming Monsters vs. Aliens, and Shark Tale. Both are animated films, so I take it that he will apply his knowledge of CGI to create some nice fantasy sequences for Gulliver. The film is currently set for a 2010 release date.
