NEWS: Stallone, Statham, and Li are ‘Expendable’

How many action stars do you need in one movie? According to Variety, three’s a charm. Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, and Jet Li have all signed on to co-star in the action flick,The Expendables. The film will be the first producing gig for Robert Earl, co-owner of Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Principal photography on “The Expendables” will start in February in Brazil and Louisiana with Stallone directing from his own script about a team of mercenaries aiming to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its dictator.

Can American boxing, MMA, and Wushu work together to save a whole country?! Gasp! Look for The Expendables to hit theaters sometime in 2010.
