Just when we thought Judd Apatow couldn’t top the laughs from The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, here comes his latest project, Funny People.  Apatow writes, directs, and produces the film that stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, and Eric Bana. Yes, Eric Bana is in a Judd Apatow film. For those of you who don’t know, Bana started his career as a comedian in his native Australia, and gained plenty of popularity on the sketch comedy series Full Frontal.

Even though the teaser poster has already been released, Funny People is filming as we speak, which means there’s still room for changes in the script. With that in mind, Apatow released a video on the internet where he is inviting fans to try and win a walk on role in the movie.

More details and the video when you continue reading…

Funny People takes us into the world of stand up comedians, and focuses on George Simmons (Sandler). Simmons is a successful comedian who learns that he has a terminal illness, and less than a year to live. Longing for an honest friendship in his last days, he becomes companion and mentor to a young, not so successful comedian, Ira (Rogen).
