NEWS: Aaron Eckhart Goes Into Battle

This past summer, Aaron Eckhart scored as an honorable D.A. turned mutilated vigilante in The Dark Knight. Now, he looks to be heading into even more trouble in his new project, Battle: Los Angeles. According to Variety, Eckhart has just signed on to star as the lead in this apocalyptic film, which focuses on a group of aliens trying to take over L.A. Eckhart will portray the leader of a Marine platoon,that becomes the cities only defense against the invaders. Eckhart can next be seen in 2009′s Traveling, a romantic comedy which co-stars Jennifer Aniston.
The screenplay for Battle:Los Angeles will be written by Chris Bertolini, whose previous work includes 1999′s The General’s Daughter.
