News Round-Up: Clooney in The Birds, Bay Gets Pissy, Bond Tix, New Clips

- George Clooney may star in a remake of The Birds: First of all, at this point this is nothing more than a rumor. BUT Metro.co.uk claims that George Clooney might play Mitch Bremner in a remake of Hitchcock’s classic. Rod Taylor, told the Daily Express: “I often cringe when I hear mention of remakes but I’ll hold judgment, especially since I’ve been told Clooney’s the favorite.” A while ago it was rumored that Naomi Watts would be playing Tippi Hedren’s character in The Birds, to which Tippi said: “Can’t we find new stories, new things to do? Must you be so insecure that you have to take a film that’s a classic and try to do it over?” [Cinematical]
- Michael Bay acts insults the makers of the new Tranformers The Ride: Bay stated: “The Transformer Ride at Universal making all the press rounds – not sure yet – they had me in a press release saying I supported it – but Universal has a long way to go in my mind. I don’t support it yet – I’m not involved and not sure the story of the ride works, and I know Optimus is not going to just show up to be directed by some new people that have never worked with him.” [Latinoreview]
