You all know him, he’s Bruce mother fucking Campbell. He has delivered some of the greatest lines in cinema. My personal favorite is: “Good, bad, I’m the guy with the gun.” And if you don’t know who I’m talking about, you need to go out do whatever you need to do, and rent/download/steal Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2, two of the greatest B-films ever made! (Personally I recommend the second one, which I know is odd.)

For the rest of us that are caught up and can share in the excitement. Legendary B-movie actor Bruce Campbell plays himself in the new film MY NAME IS BRUCE. The film will be opening in New York on October 31st and than Campbell will be traveling to each city as the movie opens in it. It will take him two months to do it, but Bruce and My Name is Bruce will hit 15 different markets in a variety of cities by December 19th.

Synopsis: In MY NAME IS BRUCE, Campbell is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and forced to fight a real monster – a nine-foot-tall sword-wielding Chinese god of war – in a small town in Oregon. Mortified at first, Campbell decides to enjoy his stab at protecting the innocent until the situation turns decidedly gruesome. Confronted by a monster that’s not a guy in a rubber suit, and with the blood of innocents on his hands, Bruce must abandon his slothful Hollywood ways. In a climactic, mano-a-monster battle, he is forced to finally rise to the occasion and become a hero…in real life.

MY NAME IS BRUCE is produced and directed by Bruce Campbell. The film was also produced by Mike Richardson (for Dark Horse Indie) and was written by Mark Verheiden. The film stars Bruce Campbell, Grace Thorsen, Taylor Sharpe, Ted Raimi, Ellen Sandweiss, Danny Hicks and Tim Quill.
