So many film gets made that beg the question why they were made. Dear Zachery: A Letter to a Son About His Father is a film where the why is just as important as the story itself. The film a documentary that has received little buzz so far and yet is probably one of the most touching films you could possibly see this year. This film is one of the most private and vulnerable films you could ever watch. I won’t bother with the story, the trailer below tells it better than I ever could.

This film, although heart-wrenching, is full of joy and truly inspirational. Check it out below the jump…

Dear Zachary will in theaters in New York on October 31st, and a week later on November 7th it hits Los Angeles and Chicago. Hopefully after that it will spread out to other cities. Then on December 7th MSNBC will air the entire documentary on television. Go and see the film and help spread the message.

What do you think of the trailer?
