- Exclusive photos of James… I mean Daniel Craig in his new film Defiance (one of which is featured above) just to remind you that he does other things than drink martinis and drive around in an Aston Martin.
- A third 28 Days Later film rumored to be in the works. There have been rumors circulating about this film ranging from that Internet dude you know to Danny Boyle himself. And even now, it is still unclear whether or not they will make a sequel to 28 Weeks Later, which was a sequel to 28 Days Later. It is now being reported by /film, that Paul Andrew Williams, has signed on to direct the third film. There have been no confirmations. So all we really have is a new rumor. My question is, do we really need a third film? The first was amazing, the second had serious issues… a third?
- Guillermo del Toro discussed his adaptation of the literary classic Frankenstein recently. He spoke about how he’s always dreamed of doing this film and what he could bring to it. The one thing he has promised is that unlike Kenneth Branagh he WILL NOT appear topless in the film. Here is what del Toro had to say (as reported by filmschoolrejects):
I’m not doing ‘Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.’ I’m doing an adventure story that involves the creature. I cannot say much, but it’s not the central creation story. I’m not worried about that. The fact is I’ve been dreaming of doing a ‘Frankenstein’ movie since I was a child. The one thing I can promise is, compared to Kenneth Branagh, I will not appear shirtless in the movie.
- Steve Carell may be taking part in Get Smart 2. Steve Carell talks about stepping onto a second Get Smart and possibly as more than an actor. Steve told Variety:
“I have some ideas for films,” he told Daily Variety. “But I’ve gotten to know so many people who are funny, talented and fertile with ideas that I’m confident this very strong base of friendships will lead to projects.”
Carell also explained his desire to produce, as well as act: “Finding things to do as an actor is the first order of business, I suppose, but I’m not limited to things in my wheelhouse,” Carell said. “I’m also looking for films I can produce that aren’t right for me as an actor.”
